Building Relationships With Community-Based Organizations

After speaking with state health departments around the country, New Insights for Sexual Health (NISH) uncovered a common challenge: How can we best build and sustain relationships with community-based organizations? Health departments were eager to learn how to form these important relationships, maintain them with adequate funding, and navigate shifting priorities.

That’s where our expert panel comes in! We brought together Atonbara Sowemimo from the Oklahoma State Department of Health, Margarita Rios from Maricopa County Community Health, and Lindsey VanderBusch from North Dakota Health and Human Services for a dynamic discussion that dives deep into the nuances of creating, sustaining, and strengthening relationships with community-based organizations to improve sexual health for local communities.
