Jenn Rogers is a recognized leader in advancing sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and well-being nationwide, with more than 20 years of experience working with federal, state, and local health agencies to achieve health equity. Jenn’s passion is to create a nation in which young people feel comfortable talking about sexual health, health care providers provide person-centered SRH care, and all people have access to information and services without facing stigma, discrimination, or fear.
At Child Trends, Jenn leads a portfolio of SRH research and technical assistance projects to improve the rights, health, and well-being of underserved and marginalized young people. For the past two decades, she has developed and led projects to promote high-quality sexual health information and health services. Before coming to Child Trends, Jenn led the National Coalition for Sexual Health, a thriving coalition of 200 members working together to improve sexual health nationwide. She also directed several research projects to integrate sexual and behavioral health services and an Affordable Care Act qualitative research study to assess the factors that affect the sustainability of Title X family planning health centers.
Jenn specializes in directing large SRH technical assistance and research projects, designing and implementing mixed methods research, and leveraging the power of communications to improve sexual health and well-being.
Jenn has been published in the Journal of Adolescent Health and the American Journal of Maternal/Child Nursing, appeared on the Coming Together for Sexual Health podcast, and written for ZocDoc’s The Paper Gown blog and SELF. She has also presented at APHA; Sister Song’s Let’s Talk about Sex conference; the STD Prevention conference; the National Sexual Health Conference; and the National Conference on Health Communications, Marketing, and Media.
