Senior Research Communications Analyst
Emily Regan is a senior research communications analyst for Child Trends in the client communications area. Her work focuses on activities for the HHS Office of Population Affairs’ (OPA) communications contract, including web maintenance, multimedia, social media, youth engagement, and quality control. Additionally, she serves as the senior communications and stakeholder engagement analyst for OPA’s Take Action for Adolescents™ call to action. Emily also works on the New Insights for Sexual Health project as a contributor with STI-specific communications expertise. She has previously worked as the dissemination lead for the Activate project, designing strategies to increase engagement.
Before joining Child Trends, Emily worked as a health educator and communications specialist for the Minnesota Department of Health. She has expertise in health promotion, communications planning, campaign development, social media management, and community- and youth-led engagement in the public sector. Emily is passionate about tailoring communication efforts and facilitating creative projects led by the people most impacted. She’s most proud of a collaborative HIV prevention and anti-stigma toolkit that combined input and design from community partners with science-based messages. Emily earned her Master of Public Health from the University of Minnesota.
