Olivia Reyes

Senior Research Analyst, Denver, CO

Olivia “Liv” Reyes is a senior research analyst for Child Trends. In this capacity, she conducts research with communities and practitioners to identify actionable policy and practice changes. Her recent work has focused on the education and criminal justice systems, where she has collaborated with youth, communities, and practitioners to tackle challenges and implement solutions that foster more prosperous communities and systems.

Olivia specializes in community-engaged research. She employs mixed methods and participatory approaches in her research to amplify often overlooked voices on critical issues, resulting in co-designed and sustainable solutions. Prior to joining Child Trends, Liv worked as a research associate at Research in Action where she supported projects on bail reform for justice-impacted individuals and families, racial justice strategic planning for philanthropic grants, housing program evaluation to better serve Foundational Black Households, and analysis of disproportionate state and interpersonal violence against Black women and girls in Minnesota.

Olivia holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Minnesota.
