Mr. Bollerer formerly served as the chief operating officer at Corcoran College of Art and Design, as well as at the Corcoran Gallery of Art. Mr. Bollerer came to Corcoran from McLean-based Real Change Strategies LLC, where he served as a partner since 2007. Prior to that, he served as a senior partner and investment director at Venture Philanthropy Partners. Mr. Bollerer served as a senior management advisor at the Morino Institute since 1998. Previously, he was the president and chief executive officer at the Morino Institute’s Potomac KnowledgeWay Project from 1998 to 2000. Before that, from 1993 to October 1997, Mr. Bollerer was the president and chief executive officer at Riggs Bank, N.A.; prior to that, he was the chairman of the Board and chief executive officer at First American Bank of Virginia. Mr. Bollerer also served as the chairman and chief executive officer at First American Metro Corporation. Before this, he spent 14 years at First City Bancorporation in Texas in various capacities, including as president of its lead bank.
