Audrey Franchett works in the early childhood development area in the Minnesota office. As an undergraduate at Eckerd College, Audrey designed and conducted research on the relationship between on-campus pet ownership and students’ perceived well-being. She also worked as an administrative assistant, tutor, and teacher’s assistant for multiple research methods courses. During her senior year, Audrey completed an internship at St. Anthony’s Hospital Outpatient Center, where she observed patient/provider interactions and conducted treatment-related literature reviews. Prior to joining Child Trends,  she spent a year as a semi-professional sailor training and competing in regattas around the United States and Europe. Audrey is passionate about facilitating healthy social and emotional learning and the accessibility of high-quality, affordable education for young children.
