Research Communications Assistant
Alondra Medina is a research communications assistant at Child Trends. She has expertise in digital communications, community outreach, and content development. Currently, Medina’s work focuses on communications projects for the HHS Office of Population Affairs (OPA), the National Early Care and Education (ECE) Workforce Center, the Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation (OPRE), and OPA Take Action for Adolescents. These assignments include website and social media content development, strategic communication planning, and project management.
Prior to working at Child Trends, Alondra worked for Healthy Futures of Texas and Access Esperanza Clinics, which prioritize sexual reproductive health and empowering youth and communities of color. Her areas of interest are sexual reproductive health, youth development, mental health, family engagement, and supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals/families. She is completing her master’s degree in clinical rehabilitation counseling with aspirations to further understand the needs of vulnerable but resilient populations.
